Job Title: Senior Manager, (Commercial) Planning & Development
Full-Time Position
Position Overview: At the intersection of the terminal experience and commercial, the Senior Manager (Commercial) Planning and Development is responsible for shaping and delivering T4 long-term customer experience, terminal ambiance & commercial strategies within the terminal environment.
Reports To: Vice President, Customer Experience & Commercial
FLSA Status: Exempt Status
Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads development of the terminal’s experience, ambiance and commercial master plan
• Translates T4’s Northstar vision and commercial strategy into spatial, financial, and category planning
• Ensures optimal customer experience and commercial mix (retail, F&B, lounges, services, advertising, experiential) based on passenger data and performance
• Identifies future revenue streams including digital, premium services, and experiential concepts; adds in the master plan
• Develops phased implementation roadmaps aligned to capital projects
• Provides commercial, ambiance and customer experience input for broader terminal (re)development and expansion projects (including bump out, luxury, arrivals, art and terminal ambiance master plan, vending, digital, lounges etc.)
• Reviews layouts / provides direction to optimizing passenger flow, sightlines, capture rates, dwell time, and adjacencies.
• Ensures customer experience and commercial objectives are protected throughout design and value engineering phases.
• Project management with redevelopment teams to ensure adherence to project schedule and concepts/design
• Evaluates business cases for new concessions and commercial investments
• Financial planning and commercial projections.
• Identifies local brand integration opportunities.
• Aligns leasing strategies with long-term development phasing
• Design development with architects and concessionaires for terminal experience areas and concessions
• Coordinates with redevelopment for construction
• Warrant of design guidelines
• Customer Experience Alignment
• Ensure commercial offerings support a cohesive terminal experience.
• Align retail, services and F&B strategy with airport brand positioning.
• Partner with marketing and customer experience teams to enhance sense of place and deliver seamless journeys
• Act as cohesive warrant between terminal experience, commercial, operations and project execution
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation management, real estate, or urban development. MBA preferred
• 8-12 years in airport commercial management, retail real estate, mixed use development or strategic planning.
Special Requirements
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances required to work at an airport.
